Being a grownup-Wanting vs Accepting

The folks on the right use the phrase Want seemingly as a blunt instrument. How can you Want a Civil War. Why do you Want to loose in Iraq. We need a counter meme and that word is Accept  

Let's look at the definition of  Accept.

3 a : to endure without protest or reaction <accept poor living conditions> b : to regard as proper, normal, or inevitable <the idea is widely accepted> c : to recognize as true : BELIEVE <refused to accept the explanation>

Now Accepting something is what us "grownups" do we accept things. We may not Want a love one to die but we accept that people get sick or old and they die.

Now I personally have accepted the fact that we lost this war in Iraq because I know the Bush Adminstration failed to put in enough military to get the job done. The American People didn't want to lose in Iraq but surveys indicate they have accepted this.

I may not Want Iraq to have a Civil War But I have accepted the historical fact that nearly every major democracy formed in the last serveral centuries has had at least one civil war this includes 7 of the G8 Nations and Switzerland(1845-1847) and have accepted the fact that this is something they must endure as any number of other democractic nations.

I don't want ............... but I'm a grownup and I have accepted ...............
